Russia Launches Over 6,000 Drones and Missiles at Ukraine, Including 500 KAB Bombs, in Autumn 2024
Dec 9, 2024, 11:15 AM
In a significant escalation of military aggression, Russia has launched over 6,000 drones and missiles at Ukraine during the three months of autumn 2024, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal. This figure represents a fourfold increase compared to the same period in 2023. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that in just the past week, Russia fired over 500 KAB bombs, more than 400 drones, and approximately 20 missiles. The use of cheap decoy drones and electronic warfare-equipped missiles has been increasingly reported, with up to half of the drones launched potentially serving as decoys to overwhelm Ukraine's air defenses. The ongoing attacks indicate a marked escalation in hostilities as the conflict continues.
