President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday directing federal agencies to combat antisemitism, including measures to deport non-citizen students and other resident aliens who participated in pro-Palestinian protests that violated laws. The order instructs all federal agencies to identify civil and criminal authorities available to address antisemitism and requires the deportation of foreign students who broke laws during anti-Israel protests following the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel. The executive order also mandates the Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute antisemitic crimes, including pro-Hamas graffiti and campus intimidation. Additionally, the order defunds schools that teach critical race theory and radical gender ideology. A White House official stated that the administration will cancel student visas of all 'Hamas sympathizers on college campuses.' Trump declared, 'To all the resident aliens who joined in the pro-jihadist protests, we put you on notice: come 2025, we will find you, and we will deport you.' The order is part of the administration's efforts to combat the recent rise in antisemitism in the United States, particularly on college campuses.
