Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was sentenced to 14 years in prison and fined PKR 1 million on Friday after being found guilty of corruption in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case. His wife, Bushra Bibi, was also convicted, receiving a seven-year prison term and a fine of PKR 0.5 million. The verdict was delivered by Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana at Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail. Following the conviction, Bushra Bibi was arrested from inside the courtroom. The court also ordered the Al-Qadir University Trust to be handed over to the federal government.
