Japanese public company Metaplanet has made a substantial investment in Bitcoin, purchasing 619.7 BTC for ¥9.5 billion (approximately $60 million). This acquisition marks Metaplanet's largest single purchase of Bitcoin to date. Following this transaction, the company's total Bitcoin holdings have increased to 1,761.98 BTC, valued at around $168 million, as Bitcoin trades near $96,000. The firm has gained recognition as 'Asia’s MicroStrategy' for its aggressive Bitcoin investment strategy.
