Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva underwent a new computed tomography (CT) scan on December 31 at the Brasília unit of Sírio-Libanês Hospital, which showed significant reabsorption of the subdural collection, indicating progressive improvement in his health condition. According to the medical bulletin, the results confirm the excellent state of the president following his emergency brain surgery earlier this month. Lula had previously suffered a fall on October 19 that resulted in a brain hemorrhage, and has since been under medical supervision.
