New York Attorney General Letitia James has rejected President-elect Donald Trump's request to drop the civil fraud case against him, stating that presidents are not immune from civil litigation. Trump had urged James to dismiss the $454 million judgment "for the greater good of the country." James's office emphasized that "the ordinary burdens of civil litigation do not impede the President’s official duties in a way that violates the U.S. Constitution."
