On his first day as President of the United States, Donald Trump dismissed Spanish chef José Andrés from his role as a presidential advisor on sports, fitness, and nutrition. Trump announced the dismissal on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating that his team is actively reviewing nearly a thousand appointments made by the previous administration under President Joe Biden. The dismissal of Andrés, who is also a U.S. citizen and the founder of the NGO World Central Kitchen, is part of Trump's broader initiative to remove individuals not aligned with his vision to 'Make America Great Again.' Alongside Andrés, Trump also dismissed General Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars, and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President's Export Council.
