A federal judge has barred Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the far-right Oath Keepers group, and several other January 6 defendants from entering Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Capitol without court permission. Judge Amit P. Mehta issued the order after President Donald Trump commuted Rhodes' 18-year prison sentence for orchestrating the attack on the Capitol. The defendants—including Kelly Meggs, Kenneth Harrelson, Jessica Watkins, Roberto Minuta, Edward Vallejo, David Moerchel, and Joseph Hackett—must seek approval before entering these areas as a condition of their release from prison.
