Ukrainian Drone Attack Causes Fire at Oil Depot in Yartsevo, Smolensk Region

An oil depot in the Yartsevo district of Russia's Smolensk region caught fire following a drone attack by Ukrainian drones overnight on December 31. The attack resulted in a fuel spill and subsequent fire at the facility. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the flames. The regional governor, Vasily Anokhin, reported that Russian air defense systems had intercepted the drones, with debris from one drone causing the incident. No residential areas were reported to be at risk, and there were no immediate reports of casualties.
