A mass casualty incident was declared in Palm Springs, California, after a motorcycle officer with the Palm Springs Police Department lost control during a stunt and crashed into a crowd at the 32nd annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade on Saturday evening. At least ten people, including the officer, were hospitalized as a result of the accident. Witnesses reported that the officer may have severed his hand mid-trick before the motorcycle veered into the crowd.
