One person was shot and killed at Fort Eisenhower, a U.S. Army base near Augusta, Georgia, on Saturday morning. Fort Eisenhower, which houses the U.S. Army Cyber Command, was placed on lockdown following the incident, which occurred in on-post housing. The shooter was apprehended, and officials have declared the incident as isolated. The lockdown has since been lifted, and the base has been reopened. Authorities are notifying the victim's next of kin, and an investigation is underway.
