Dec 2, 2024, 06:12 PM
Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has authorized the transfer of two military officers, Lieutenant Colonel Rodrigo Bezerra Azevedo and retired General Mário Fernandes, to a military prison in Brasília. Both individuals, referred to as 'kids pretos' in reports, were arrested as part of Operation Contragolpe, which investigates a suspected plot to overthrow the government and assassinate authorities. The two officers were previously held in preventive detention in Rio de Janeiro. Moraes' decision, made on November 29, was publicly disclosed on December 2.
