H6, Chinese Businessman Close to Prince Andrew, Banned from UK Over CCP Ties
Dec 13, 2024, 10:22 AM
A Chinese businessman, known as H6, who was a close confidant of Prince Andrew, has been barred from entering the UK on national security grounds. The decision was upheld by a London court, which found that H6, aged 50, had engaged in covert and deceptive activities on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). H6 had developed a significant relationship with Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, being invited to his birthday party and authorized to act on his behalf in dealings with potential Chinese investors. The court assessed that H6 could leverage these relationships for political interference by the Chinese state. This development adds to the controversies surrounding Prince Andrew, who has been out of public royal duties since 2019 due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of sexual assault. Prince Andrew, 64, has been under considerable financial pressure, and his relationship with H6 was seen as a potential vulnerability for exploitation.
