Small Plane Crashes into Gramado Buildings, Killing Ten, Governor Confirms

A small bimotor plane crashed at around 9:30 AM on Sunday in the city center of Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, resulting in the deaths of all ten people on board. The aircraft, which had departed from the Aeroclube de Canela bound for Jundiaí, São Paulo, first struck the chimney of a building before crashing into a furniture store, a hotel, and a house on Avenida das Hortênsias, causing a fire. Governor Eduardo Leite confirmed there were no survivors among the occupants. At least 15 people on the ground were injured, mostly from smoke inhalation. Emergency services attended the scene, and the accident was captured on video by security cameras.
