Lazio Dismisses Falconer Juan Bernabé Over Explicit Posts of Penile Prosthesis, Impacting Olympia the Eagle
Jan 14, 2025, 01:36 PM
Lazio, a prominent Italian football club, has dismissed Juan Bernabé, their Spanish falconer responsible for handling the club's eagle mascot, Olympia, after he posted explicit images and videos of his new penile prosthesis on social media. The posts, which went viral, were made following Bernabé's surgery on Saturday to improve his sexual performance. Lazio's president, Claudio Lotito, who has not missed a mass in 67 years, also terminated the contract of the surgeon, Gabriele Antonini, who performed the operation. The club expressed regret over the loss of Olympia the eagle's presence at upcoming home matches but deemed the association with Bernabé's actions untenable. Bernabé, who has been with the club for 15 years since 2010, was previously suspended in 2021 for performing a fascist salute during a match.
