Putin Announces Serial Production of Oreshnik Missiles, Accuses West Amid Ukraine Conflict
Dec 16, 2024, 11:53 AM
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that the serial production of the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) will commence in the near future. This statement was made during a meeting with Russian Army generals, where Putin also praised the progress of Russian troops on the fronts in Ukraine and accused the West of pushing Russia's red lines. The Oreshnik missile, which was first used last month in an attack on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, is part of Russia's strategy to ensure its security and strengthen its military capabilities. Putin's comments come at a time when Russia is reportedly advancing at the fastest pace since the beginning of the war on the eastern front in Ukraine, with the Russian Defense Minister claiming that 4,500 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory have been occupied this year alone.
