"You're Fired!": Trump Fires Over 1,000 Appointees Including Mark Milley and José Andrés
Jan 21, 2025, 06:17 AM
President Donald Trump has begun his term by announcing the dismissal of over 1,000 presidential appointees from the previous Biden administration. In his first post on Truth Social since his inauguration, made after midnight, Trump declared that his Presidential Personnel Office is actively identifying and removing officials who are not aligned with his vision to "Make America Great Again." "Our first day in the White House is not over yet! YOU'RE FIRED!" he stated. Notable among the initial firings are General Mark Milley, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council; Chef José Andrés from the President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition; Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars; and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President's Export Council.
