Syrian security forces have thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons into Lebanon through an illegal border crossing in the Tartous area. The operation, which was coordinated with the intelligence service in the governorate, resulted in the seizure of a shipment that included rifles, drones, and Shahed-101 kamikaze UAVs. The weapons were believed to be destined for Hezbollah and were supplied by Iran. Images released by Syrian media show the captured arms, indicating a successful interception before the weapons could cross into Lebanese territory.
