Jan 22, 2025, 08:31 PM
A 17-year-old student, identified as Solomon Henderson, opened fire in the cafeteria of Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday morning, killing a 16-year-old female student, Josselin Corea Escalante, and wounding another student before turning the gun on himself, according to Metro Nashville Police. Henderson reportedly live-streamed the attack on the streaming platform KICK and left a manifesto expressing extremist views. Authorities are investigating Henderson's motive, examining 'very concerning online writings and social media posts' connected to him. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is involved in the inquiry. The school remained closed following the shooting as police continued their investigation.
