Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer announced he will resign in the coming days as both Chancellor and Chairman of the conservative People's Party (ÖVP) after failing to form a coalition government. The decision follows the collapse of negotiations with the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ) and the prior withdrawal of the NEOS from talks two days earlier.
