Four Israeli soldiers were killed and six others were wounded during fighting in northern Gaza, the Israeli Defense Forces announced. The soldiers died after a powerful improvised explosive device detonated in Beit Hanoun, targeting a military convoy that included the deputy commander of the Nahal Brigade. Following the explosion, militants opened fire on the convoy in an area previously considered secure. The fallen soldiers were identified as Sgt. Maj. (Res.) Alexander Fedorenko, 37; Staff Sgt. Danila Diakov, 21; Sgt. Yahav Maayan, 19; and Sgt. Eliav Astuker, 19. This brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since the ground operation in Gaza began to 400.
