Car Bomb Near Recruitment Center in Turkish-Controlled Manbij Kills Two Civilians
Dec 24, 2024, 12:53 PM
On December 24, a car bomb exploded near the recruitment department on Tajnid Street in the city of Manbij, northern Syria's eastern Aleppo countryside. The attack resulted in at least two civilian deaths and four injuries, according to the Syrian Civil Defense. Manbij, currently controlled by Turkish-backed Syrian National Army forces, has seen increased tensions recently. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but some sources suggest that the PKK/YPG/SDF terrorist group, which is US-backed, may be involved. The explosion occurred near military headquarters, and the Syrian Civil Defense teams responded promptly to assist the victims.
