France Launches Seven Airstrikes on ISIS in Central Syria Using Rafale Jets and Reaper Drone

French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced that French forces conducted targeted airstrikes against ISIS positions in Syria on Sunday. The French Air Force deployed Rafale fighter jets and a Reaper drone to launch seven bombs against ISIS caches in central Syria. The strikes were part of Operation Inherent Resolve, the international coalition against ISIS in which France has participated since 2014 in Iraq and 2015 in Syria. Footage of the operation was released, demonstrating France's continued commitment to combating terrorism in the Syrian Badiya region.
