All 43 monkeys that escaped from the Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center in Yemassee, South Carolina, in November have been recaptured. Alpha Genesis CEO Greg Westergaard confirmed that the monkeys were safely returned to the facility and appeared to be in good health. The recapture marks the conclusion of a nearly three-month effort to locate the animals, which had raised concerns about their well-being and potential impact on the local environment.
