The Palestinian Authority has decided to temporarily suspend the broadcasting and operations of Al Jazeera in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. This decision was made due to Al Jazeera's alleged violation of Palestinian laws and regulations, as well as its persistence in broadcasting inciting material and reports that are misleading and provoke internal strife. The move comes after Al Jazeera's highly critical coverage of the Palestinian security forces' operation in Jenin. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has also accused Al Jazeera of biased coverage and incitement.
