Russia Launches Zircon Hypersonic Missiles in Mediterranean Drills Near Syria

Russia's Defense Ministry announced that the Russian Navy and Air Forces conducted military exercises in the Mediterranean Sea from December 1-3, including the launch of high-precision missiles such as Zircon hypersonic missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and Onyx missiles. The drills involved over 1,000 military personnel, 10 warships and support vessels—including the frigates Admiral Gorshkov and Admiral Golovko—Bastion coastal missile systems, and 24 aircraft including MiG-31 jets. Missile launches were conducted from both sea and air near the coast of Syria.
