On January 8, 2025, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that it conducted multiple precision airstrikes targeting two underground storage facilities used by the Iranian-backed Houthi movement in Yemen. The strikes were aimed at Advanced Conventional Weapons (ACW) storage sites located in Houthi-controlled areas, specifically in the capital city of Sana’a and the Amran region.
