Trump Begins Mass Deportations: 1,300 Arrested, Military Flights Deployed

In the first days of his presidency, President Donald Trump has initiated the largest mass deportation operation in U.S. history, targeting undocumented immigrants across the country. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials announced that nearly 500 illegal immigrants were arrested nationwide during the first hours of Trump's term, with the total number of arrests reaching 1,300, over 1,000 of whom are criminals. Among those apprehended were a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several individuals convicted of sex crimes against minors. The White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, declared, "Promises made, promises kept," emphasizing that "President Trump is sending a strong and clear message: illegal entry into the United States will have serious consequences." Deportation flights using military aircraft, including U.S. Air Force C-17 and C-130 planes, have begun transporting deported migrants to countries such as Guatemala. The Guatemalan government confirmed the arrival of planes carrying dozens of deported migrants. The administration's actions fulfill a key campaign promise to crack down on illegal immigration.
