Two and a half weeks after the December 20 attack on the Magdeburg Christmas market, a 52-year-old woman has died in the hospital from her injuries, raising the death toll to six, according to the General Prosecutor's Office in Naumburg. The attack occurred when a Saudi suspect drove a vehicle into the crowd, resulting in numerous casualties. The total number of injured has risen to 299, with some reports indicating that over 500 people have been affected, including those needing psychological support. Authorities have revealed that the suspect, who was under police scrutiny for prior threats, was involved in seven previous investigations between April 2023 and October 2024, and was accused in two of them.
