Azerbaijani President Accuses Russia of Responsibility for Azerbaijan Airlines Crash Killing 38 in Aktau, Kazakhstan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has accused Russia of being responsible for the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer E190 plane near Aktau, Kazakhstan, on December 25, which resulted in the deaths of 38 out of 67 Azerbaijani citizens on board. Aliyev stated that the responsibility for the deaths lies with representatives of the Russian Federation, citing poor coordination between Russia's military and civilian services as a contributing factor to the tragedy. He demanded justice, accountability, and transparency in the investigation, emphasizing that the crash could have been prevented if proper measures had been taken. Aliyev also mentioned that the plane's black boxes are being analyzed in Brazil, reflecting Azerbaijan's demand for an objective investigation.
