Jan 23, 2025, 08:05 AM
A new brush fire, dubbed the Sepulveda Fire, erupted late Wednesday in the Sepulveda Pass along the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles County. The fire, which started near the Sepulveda Boulevard off-ramp and spread to 10 acres, prompted an evacuation warning for residents south of the 1500 block of Casiano Road, north of Moraga Drive, east of Sepulveda Boulevard, and west of Chalon Road. The southbound 405 Freeway was closed near the Getty Center due to the fire. Firefighters, supported by an aggressive aerial attack, made good progress in battling the blaze, which was burning heavy brush east of the freeway.
