Zelensky to Unveil 'Victory Plan' with Five Points, UK Proposals, and Western Allies' Support
Oct 16, 2024, 07:03 AM
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to unveil a comprehensive 'Victory Plan' aimed at ending the ongoing conflict with Russia. The plan, which will be partially disclosed in the Verkhovna Rada, includes military, diplomatic, and economic measures along with new sanctions to compel Russia to negotiate. Ukrainian officials have emphasized that certain details, particularly regarding military provisions, will remain confidential. The plan's success hinges on the support of Ukraine's Western allies, with the UK already preparing proposals for long-range strikes on Russian territory. General Oleksandr Syrskyi confirmed discussions with the UK's Chief of Defence Staff, Tony Radakin, about targeting Russian military sites. Zelensky stated that the plan consists of five main points and three additional secret points, and stressed the urgency of its implementation to potentially end the war by next year. Ukraine's ambassador to Germany also highlighted the plan's components.
