An Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 passenger plane flying from Baku to Grozny, Chechnya, Russia, crashed near Aktau Airport in Kazakhstan on Wednesday while attempting an emergency landing, according to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations. The aircraft, manufactured by Brazilian company Embraer, was carrying 67 people, including five crew members. At least 38 people were killed, and 29 survived the crash. The passengers included citizens from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. The cause of the accident is under investigation, with reports indicating the plane veered from its scheduled route.
