Jack Danaher Molloy, 24, Indicted for Attempting to Join Hezbollah, Faces Up to 20 Years
Jan 2, 2025, 11:36 PM
Jack Danaher Molloy, a 24-year-old dual citizen of the United States and Ireland and a former U.S. Army soldier, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of attempting to support the foreign terrorist organization Hezbollah and making false statements to the FBI. Molloy, a former resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, traveled to Lebanon and Syria in 2024 with the intent to join Hezbollah. Despite being told in Lebanon that the timing was not right, he proceeded to Syria in an attempt to fight for the group. Upon returning to the U.S., Molloy continued his efforts to join Hezbollah from Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania. He expressed anti-Semitic sentiments, including a stated 'master plan' to join Hezbollah and kill Jews, and used the username 'KIKEKILLER313' on social media. Molloy faces up to 20 years in prison for the material support charge and up to eight years for the false statement charges.
