IDF Intercepts Three Drones From Yemen Within an Hour, No Injuries Reported

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) intercepted three drones launched from Yemen within the span of an hour on January 9, 2025. The first drone was intercepted over southern Israel, triggering sirens in the Gvulot kibbutz area. The second and third drones were shot down over the Mediterranean Sea before they could enter Israeli territory. The IDF confirmed that no injuries were reported from these incidents. Since the onset of the conflict, the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have launched approximately 40 ballistic missiles and 320 drones towards Israel, with most being intercepted or failing to reach their targets.
