IDF Releases Footage of Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar Before October 7 Attacks, Including His Killing by Tank Shell
Oct 19, 2024, 06:01 PM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have released multiple video footages of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The footage shows Sinwar and his family moving supplies, including food, water, a television, and pillows, into an underground tunnel on October 6, 2023, the night before the October 7 attacks on southern Israel. The videos reveal Sinwar's preparations to hide while leaving Palestinian civilians exposed to serve as human shields. Tens of thousands of shekels were also found in the tunnel. The IDF also released footage capturing the moment Sinwar was killed by a tank shell in the Tel Sultan neighborhood of Rafah, southern Gaza. The videos were recovered several months ago and were recently made public by the IDF during a press conference led by Chief Spokesperson R-Adm. Daniel Hagari. Additional footage showed Sinwar's hiding place in Khan Yunis.
