A terror attack occurred at the Beersheba Central Bus Station in southern Israel on October 6, 2024. An assailant, identified as Ahmad Said Suliman, carried out a combined shooting and stabbing attack, killing a 20-year-old woman, a Border Guard soldier, and injuring up to 24 others. The attacker, a resident of the Negev with Israeli citizenship, opened fire near a McDonald's branch before being neutralized by security forces at the scene. The incident is being treated as a suspected terrorist attack by Israeli authorities, occurring on the eve of the first anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks.
