Houthi Rebels Launch Three Missile Attacks on Central Israel, 11 Injured Amid Gaza Ceasefire Talks
Jan 14, 2025, 07:00 AM
The Houthi rebels from Yemen launched three ballistic missile attacks on Israel within a 12-hour period, with the latest incident occurring early Tuesday. The Israeli military reported that it successfully intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, which triggered air raid sirens across central Israel. The missile was likely intercepted before it could enter Israeli airspace, and no direct injuries from the missile or its debris were reported. However, 11 people were injured while rushing to shelters, and four others were treated for panic. The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attacks, stating they targeted the Israeli Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv with a hypersonic ballistic missile known as Palestine-2. These attacks come amidst ongoing ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, where Israel has been conducting airstrikes.
