Journalist Shatha al-Sabbagh Killed by PA Sniper in Jenin Raid

Palestinian journalist Shatha al-Sabbagh, sister of slain resistance fighter Mutasem al-Sabbagh, was killed by a sniper during a raid by Palestinian Authority (PA) forces in the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. The incident, which involved a headshot by a PA sniper, has sparked widespread condemnation from Palestinian factions, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, who accuse the PA of targeting civilians and resistance figures. Shatha, a student of journalism at Al-Quds Open University, was reportedly shot while near her home. Her family has held the PA accountable, describing the act as a deliberate and unjustified killing. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has called for an independent investigation into the incident. This marks the latest in a series of fatalities linked to the PA's ongoing security crackdown in Jenin, which has been criticized for fueling internal Palestinian divisions.
