Tesla Recalls 694,304 Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck Vehicles in U.S. Over Tire Pressure Issue
Dec 20, 2024, 02:05 PM
Tesla Inc. is recalling 694,304 vehicles in the United States due to an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The recall affects certain 2017-2025 Model 3, 2020-2025 Model Y, and 2024 Cybertruck vehicles. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the TPMS warning light may not remain illuminated between drive cycles, failing to notify drivers of low tire pressure. Driving with improperly inflated tires increases the risk of a crash. Tesla plans to address the issue through over-the-air software updates.
