IDF Begins Evacuation in Rafah, Prepares for Military Operation Against Hamas

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have initiated a humanitarian evacuation of several neighborhoods in Rafah, Gaza, in preparation for a large-scale military operation aimed at targeting Hamas terrorists. This action follows repeated refusals by Hamas to release 133 Israeli hostages, which would have facilitated a ceasefire. Civilians have been instructed to evacuate to Al Mawasi, an area that has been expanded to accommodate increased humanitarian aid including field hospitals and tents. The IDF has communicated the evacuation orders through fliers and text messages, urging civilians to temporarily relocate ahead of the anticipated offensive.
