Blue Jays Sweep White Sox 3-1, Extend Chicago's Losing Streak and First Winless Homestand
May 31, 2024, 08:30 PM
The Toronto Blue Jays completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox with a 3-1 victory. The White Sox, who managed only four hits in the game, have now lost eight consecutive games and recorded their first winless homestand of seven or more games in franchise history, going 0-7. They have also lost 12 of their last 13 games and are now 15-42 on the season. The Blue Jays improved to 26-29 on the season. Blue Jays' pitcher Alek Manoah left the game with right elbow discomfort and will undergo an MRI. Despite the sweep, the Blue Jays face a challenging June schedule and need to improve their offensive efficiency, having left 29 runners on base over the series.
