Sep 6, 2024, 04:14 PM
Former Mafia hitman Fotios 'Freddy' Geas has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the 2018 fatal bludgeoning of notorious Boston gangster James 'Whitey' Bulger. Geas, a former enforcer from West Springfield, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in a US District Court in Clarksburg, W. Va. on Friday. The sentencing follows a deal with prosecutors that led to Geas changing his plea from not guilty. Bulger, a notorious crime boss from South Boston, was killed at a federal prison in West Virginia.
