North Korea Accuses South Korea of Drone Flights Over Pyongyang, Issues Ultimatum, Launches Trash Balloons
Oct 11, 2024, 12:04 PM
North Korea has accused South Korea of flying drones over its capital, Pyongyang, and scattering leaflets, calling it a military provocation and a violation of its sovereignty. North Korea's foreign ministry has threatened retaliatory action if such incidents occur again, issuing an ultimatum. South Korea has swiftly denied these claims, labeling them as irresponsible and dangerous. The South Korean military stated that it cannot confirm the veracity of North Korea's allegations, reports Yonhap. This accusation comes amid heightened tensions, with North Korea also launching its third round of trash balloons this week, marking the 27th launch this year, reports AP.
