Adani's Ambuja Cements to Invest Rs 1,600 Crore in Bihar for 6 MTPA Cement Grinding Unit

Ambuja Cements Limited, part of the diversified Adani Portfolio, has announced an investment of Rs 1,600 crore to establish a cement grinding unit in Warisaliganj, Nawada district, Bihar. The facility will have a capacity of 6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and will be implemented in three phases. The first phase, with a capacity of 2.4 MTPA, will involve an investment of Rs 1,100 crore. The entire investment will be made from internal accruals. The project is expected to create significant job opportunities and contribute to the local economy. The foundation stone was laid by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who expressed gratitude for the support from the Bihar government. The new facility aims to boost infrastructure and is expected to contribute approximately Rs 250 crore per year to the state’s fiscal revenue, creating 250 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs. The Bhoomi Poojan ceremony was performed to mark the commencement of the project.
