VisitNHTSA Closes Tesla Suspension Probe Without Recall
Aug 14, 2024, 02:41 PM
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has closed its preliminary evaluation into nearly 75,000 Tesla vehicles over concerns of front suspension failures. The investigation, which focused on Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles from 2015 to 2017, concluded without requiring a recall. The NHTSA found no instances where the suspension failures impaired vehicle control. However, the agency recommended that Tesla expand an existing service bulletin to address the issue more comprehensively.
