Over 62,000 idols were immersed on the second day of the Ganesh festival in various water bodies, with a significant number of immersions taking place in artificial tanks. By late evening on Sunday, more than 10,000 idols had already been immersed. A total of 38,094 idols were immersed in Mumbai, half of which were in artificial tanks.
