Kenyan Police Hunt for Serial Killer of 42 Women Escaped from Gigiri Police Station
Aug 20, 2024, 12:33 PM
Kenyan police have launched a major manhunt after Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, a 33-year-old suspected serial killer who confessed to murdering 42 women, escaped from custody at the Gigiri Police Station in Nairobi. Khalusha, along with 12 other detainees, including Eritreans, managed to flee by cutting through wire mesh in the holding cells and scaling the perimeter walls. The escape has led to the interdiction and arrest of eight police officers, suspected of aiding the escape. Khalusha was initially arrested in July for the murders, which included the dismemberment of bodies. The incident has raised concerns about security protocols at the police station.
