Serbian President Vučić Predicts U.S. Investors Will Acquire Nord Stream Pipeline Within Year, as Germany Needs Cheap Russian Gas

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has forecasted that the Nord Stream pipeline will be sold to American investors within a year, enabling the flow of Russian gas to Europe. In an interview, Vučić emphasized that Germany urgently requires affordable Russian gas, which he believes will drive the sale and operational resumption of the pipeline. He suggested that the U.S. will negotiate an agreement with Russia concerning Ukraine, facilitating the purchase of the pipeline. If this scenario unfolds, it could provide the U.S. with significant leverage over both Russia and European Union states, while Gazprom may exit the arrangement at a break-even point. Vučić's remarks come amid ongoing political challenges in France and Germany, with Poland aiming to assert strong leadership within the EU Council during its presidency.
