US Forces Strike Houthi Command and Weapon Facilities in Yemen's Sana'a and Hodeidah

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that US forces conducted multiple precision strikes against Iran-backed Houthi targets in Yemen on December 30 and 31. The strikes targeted Sana'a and coastal locations within Houthi-controlled territory, including sites south of Hodeidah. According to CENTCOM, the targets included a Houthi command and control facility, advanced conventional weapon production and storage facilities housing missiles and drones, and a radar station used in Houthi attacks on US warships and commercial vessels. The attacks were carried out by aircraft and Navy ships. Houthi media reported multiple airstrikes on the Yemeni capital Sana'a, including strikes on the Ministry of Defense headquarters, the Ministry of Information, a weapons maintenance camp, and the Al-Ardi complex in the Bab Al-Yemen area. At least six airstrikes were reported. A US official confirmed to Al Arabiya English that the strikes were conducted by US forces. The Houthis responded, stating that Yemen will continue to defend itself.
